12:12 PM

boot return

12:12 PM Ashley S.

Hello, thank you for contacting Timberland. How may I assist you today?

12:12 PM

the soles of my boots, never worn, are coming apart and I would like an exchange or refund

12:13 PM Ashley S.

I would be happy to help you with that.

12:13 PM Ashley S.

Did you purchase them from timberland.com?

12:13 PM

don't recall

12:14 PM Ashley S.

ok, what is an email address you would have used for an order so I can see if we have an order here?

12:14 PM Ashley S.

It will be just a moment while I look into that for you.

12:17 PM Ashley S.

I'm only finding 1 order under those emails. This order is from 7/5/16

12:18 PM

okay

12:18 PM Ashley S.

If it is from that order, we wouldn't be able to return them.

12:18 PM Ashley S.

If it is from a store or a different online site, they would have to be returned to them.

12:19 PM

the boot is disintegrating and timberland won't stand by their products?

12:19 PM Ashley S.

This order was placed over a year and a half ago. We do have a 1 year warranty on our footwear, if you want to send them in for inspection you are more than welcome to.

We do have a 1 year warranty policy on our footwear! Please send your product to our warranty department at:

Timberland Consumer Returns

50 Service Lane

Danville, KY 40422

You'll need to include the WARRANTY RETURN FORM inside the box. Be sure to save your tracking number until you receive delivery confirmation from our warranty department.

12:20 PM

what does that mean,' inspection '

12:20 PM Ashley S.

We have inspectors at the warehouse that inspect boots for warranty.

12:22 PM

so, just to be clear, a boot after 365 days, begins to disintegrate after no use by the costumer and the boot, though entirely destroyed by a manufacturing process, cannot be returned

12:25 Ashley S.

I'm sorry but the 12 month warranty is only for that time frame. Depending on the storage of boots, it can effect the boot.

12:23 PM

okay, stored in a closet in a home.

12:25 PM Ashley S.

the moisture and temperature could play a role in it as well. I would suggest sending them in to warranty.

12:25 PM

Thank you

Sounds like Timberland did what they could to help, tbh. Who just keep shoes lying around in a damp closet for 18 months?
